2. The Consortium
2.1 Co-ordinator: Athens Technology Centre SA (ATC SA)
- Private IT company active in Business Software development and integration, Multimedia applications, consultancy services
- The company specialises in CD-ROM multimedia productions, development of multimedia point of information systems, providing custom solutions for networked image management and archiving, development of Internet and Intranet applications and e-commerce solutions.
- ATCs customers include major companies in the publishing and media sectors, Banks, Museums, Government, and Industry in Greece.
- Responsible for the Project management of ITEX (Information Technology for the Textile-Clothing-Retail Industries, Esprit 20905, User Group Reference project), which has identified User requirements, and the state-of-the-art in ICT for the TCR industries in Europe.
- ATC will be responsible for overall management and co-ordination, the development of the pilot application, and will provide the link to the European Umbrella structure.
2.2 HCIA (Hellenic Clothing Industry Association)
- HCIA represents Greek companies (mainly SMEs) producing all types of clothing. Has established the Greek EDI Center in 1992. Has close links to the IT sector in Greece, as well in Europe. Project team of experienced scientists (IT-EDI specialist, Industrial Engineer). HCIA's General Manager will be the Chairman of the Steering Committee
2.3 CLOTEFI
- The Clothing Textile and Fibre Technological Development SA is a Technical and R&D Center specialising in Textile and Clothing technology, Quality certification, IT for the Textile-Clothing industries
2.4 SEPVE
- The Knitting-Clothing Industries Association of Northern Greece
2.5 ELSEVIE
- Hellenic Association of Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters
2.6 TACI
- Thessalian Association of Clothing Industries, representing mainly SME subcontractors

3.1 Identification of Generic Services and Applications
- Objective :
To identify ICT related services and applications, whose implementation could contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Greek Textiles - Clothing - Footwear SMEs, within the framework of Information Society- Results:

- Objective:
Development of outline specifications for all the identified services or applications. The specifications will also cover the organisational aspects involved in the implementation of each service / application identified. Detailed functional and technical specifications will be derived for the Pilot Application.- Results:

3.3 Pilot Application
- Objective:
Development of an Internet based application for the rapid and easy development of company and product Multimedia presentations. Will be used by the partners of the project to provide Multimedia services for their SME members, or customers, based on personalised information provided in standard formats by the SMEs.- Results:

4. European Dimension
The promotion of modern Information Communication Technologies (ICT), and more specifically tools and networks facilitating Electronic Commerce between contractors-subcontractors in a country like Greece, can act as a raw model for the development of similar industrial networks between Europe and other Mediterranean and Balkan countries, as well as between contractors-subcontractors, within the European territory
